From the outside this is a stunning building and I would liked to have looked around inside but it is not particularly welcoming on that front. Perhaps they don't want lots of visitors. I now wish I'd taken the advice of other TripAdvisor travellers and just walked in.

Booked a tour through New Manchester Walks, well worth it! Absolutely beautiful building with an incredible history, lots of symbology and stunning architecture. Would definitely recommend the guided tour, our guide Ed was a wealth of facts and dates, his knowledge was very impressive :-)

I wa surprised just how grand this building is. There is a cafe inside and sometimes small shops. I had never thought of going in this building but I am glad that I did.

Having visited on a previous trip we just as to get another "fix" of this stunning place. Having had a look around we opted for some lunch in the cafe. The food was good and reasonably priced. But it is the building that's the interesting thing. A definite must see for all lover's of architecture or things of beauty.

Amazing building! You have to visit. You can go in, only a part of it. It's super old. There is inside a coffee shop so posh and nice.

It would be a better spot if you could visit upstairs... but since it's not possible, the visit is not a must go. It something that you can think about it if you have enough time and pass by.

A wow factor for Victorian architecture. Visits will be curtailed next January when the Town Hall closes for refurbishment.
