Serenity in a central location

Always felt the immediate peace and calm each time I stepped into the church, away from the hustle and bustle of Market street.

This is a peaceful church to visit in the centre of Manchester It has has a famous painting of the "Descent of the Cross" by Carracci, a little bit of information and perhaps a description on this would be helpful and perhaps a missed opportunity of the significance of it being here. Some good representative Victorian Windows, a good place... More

Not many people realise realise St Ann's is the Parish Church of the City of Manchester. Stunning inside, with a beautiful panelled interior.

I have visited this church a couple of times. It is a large and beautiful. We were there at christmas when they had a choir practice which was lovely. They sell teas, coffees, sandwiches and cakes. Well worth a visit.

This 18c church is quite a gem. When we first visited, a service was in progress but we returned later and were able to explore the attractive interior. The nave, with its galleries, is really attractive, and the whole place exudes an atmosphere of spirituality.

I have lived in and around Manchester all my life - often walked past but never been in the lovely church. After a nice long lunch with friends - and wandering around the bustling Christmas markets we decided to look in the church. All four of us live within 5 miles but we had never been in.
