Somewhat surprising to find a Buddhist Centre in town. Manchester has a large Chinese population so that may account for this centre. The centre is just one block away from the huge Arndale shopping centre, yet the atmosphere is calm and serene. Tucked away in the Northern Quarter (just down the street from the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Art), it... More

Manchester Buddhist Centre relaxes you just by walking through the door. The relaxing calm penetrates every bone. When you enter there is a reception manned with helpful volunteers. Details of courses, events and taster sessions are available here, along with other literature about Buddhism and meditation. On the opposite side you will find the shop, selling everything to help meditation... More

This is a lovely centre just situated down a side street in central Manchester. I am not a Buddhist but visited to ask about meditation classes. They advertise classes and events in the centre and have leaflets just outside the door. There is a lovely cafe based downstairs if your vegetarian/vegan and its perfect for lunch - they always have... More

I love that there is always a different option every time I come here. Hot whole foods for cold days and fresh salads for during the summer! Its hard to get good Vegan food in a lot of places and they really know how to deliver on quality.

The bride and groom looked amazing in traditional Buddhist wedding attire and the whole ceremony was colourful and full of joy and warmth!!! Would love to visit again as there is a real... More

Lovely place, every time I'm around is always a good feeling of peace. It could be noisy (during drop-in sessions), but it's part of nature, you need to silence the environment and focus in your love. Great people at reception and instructors!
