It worth the visit

It's not a cathedral that will make you astonished but it worth the visit. It is a nice one specially because you pass by quite often so it's worth to get into.

I went to this wonderful building on behalf of a charity and was in awe of the magnificence of it. I've been to many cathedrals over the year and had neglected Manchester. As is often the case we overlook what is right on our doorstep.

This is a spectacular building from both the outside and the in. It is a shame that all the pews have been removed but it is a wonderful spacious area The architecture is fairly heavy but the lovely windows bring a freshness and light to the inside. I was particularly moved by the Lent Exhibition: ‘Sentence: A Work in Progress’... More

I used to live in Manchester and must have walked passed this Cathedral a hundred times but never been inside. We ventured inside as we were passing by. Had a warm welcome from a guide. Lovely peaceful place as you would expect with some beautiful architecture. It has a surprisingly unusual lay out inside with the alter and the choir... More

I waled into the cathedral to be greeted by a beautifully warm welcome and a guide leaflet. It is a stunning building, and I was also fortunate to be able to watch a rehearsal for a music event that evening. Thankyou to all who organise the welcome for visitors; you're doing a great job.

I've been here a couple times when friends and family visit. It's a nice cathedral with beautiful woodwork inside. It's free admission with a suggested donation. It's one of the better sights in Manchester.

Fascinating wall plaques and points of information.......amazing architectural detail....it's obvious that it sustained damage through the World wars and also at the hands of the Provisional IRA. Beautiful stained glass windows. Interesting little exhibit about a British citizen in jail in the US having been advised by his legal team to plead guilty to fraud but he got a 14... More

Old churches are not really my thing but Manchester Cathedral was worth making the effort to visit. They've successfully blended the traditional cathedral architrecture with a number of fascinating exhibits to make a 3-45 minute visit well worthwhile.
