See the network of underground canal routes that helped form the industrial Black Country and marvel at the fantastic Limestone Caverns. Enjoy a canalside walk or relaxing boat trip, and admire the local history. See if you can spot any of the limestone fossils remaining from when the area was below sea, and explore the Dudley Tunnel - don't be startled by the bats!

Great morning out with the grandkids. Didn't know it would be so interesting and beautiful. We forget there's a lot to see and do in Dudley. I would thoroughly recommend

A very interesting and enjoyable experience. To start with, we appreciated the exhibition depicting barge life on the canals while we waited for our trip.We then thoroughly enjoyed being guided through the tunnels in our long boat. Our 'bargee' gave just the right amount of...More

Part of the museum absolutely a must great place to visit to see how it all began 10/10. Take a brolly small one or a hat to protect from small droplets of water

What a wonderful, serene journey! Who would've thought the Black Country, with it's industrial heritage could be so beautiful. Silently glading through it's history on an electrically-powered boat was surreal. The Skipper and crew were friendly, helpful and informative.

This is located on the same site as BCLM and is a separate attraction. Took a 45 minute trip in a canal boat through the tunnels and caverns. The chap steering the boat was engaging and informative. Bit of an eye opener really, well worth...More

We visited as part of visiting the BCLM, although we didn't realise it was separate attraction. There is a 45 min ride along the canal in a barge, with an informative guide including a light and music show, and a modern visitor centre. Well worth...More

We stumbled across this place by accident (BCLM far too busy for our liking!) but I'm so glad we did. Plentiful car parking which is free. Mark was extremely helpful - I have a young child in a wheelchair and though the disabled access lift...More

We took the canal trip as part of a day out at the Black Country Museum and it was fantastic. The guide (I forget his name I'm afraid) was great, funny, and so very knowledgeable. Brilliant shows and some of the posts on the tour...More

This place has really changed in the last 8-10 years since I last visited. There is a massive visitors centre now there, with exhibition/museum, gift shop and picnic areas. The restaurant is fantastic, food is plentiful, hot, good choice, okay pricing, being licensed is also...More
