I didnt expect much from this quirky place but actually when having a look around they have LOADS of birds, we were lucky enough to catch the show. The volunteers were so lovely, they spent the time to show us around and explain everything they were doing. We were with a lady who had a 1 to 1 session with... More

Booked a flying experience day for a birthday present. Called in advance and booked but was told to call the morning of the day to check the weather. Called the morning and found out it was double booked! He knew who we were as he remembered it was for a birthday but had received a text that morning for another... More

Been to Turberry Woods many times, always a fantastic experience. Large selection of owls and hawks to see. The flying displays are brilliant. Plenty of chances for close up encounters with the birds, all staffed by volunteers, a great place for adults and children. Great value for money.

We took our 3 and 5 year old children to Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary today. They (and we!) absolutely loved it! The sanctuary was much bigger than I thought it would be and we were surprised at how many birds there were. We arranged our trip to ensure we were there for the 12.00 bird display.... More

Had an excellent time here! Only £5 entry which goes to the running of the site. Got to handle the birds and the volunteers were very friendly and knowledgable. The flying show was fun, you get the opportunity to get hands on, and we ended up having a private show for the last few birds as well! Value for money... More

Great for kids and adults! Joe, one of the volunteers was very knowledgable and passionate, and keen to show us round and tell us about the different birds. So worth the entrance fee and the cafe in the garden centre is good value.

Absolutely loved this place which is run solely by volunteers. My partner and I spent about 3 and a half hours here, strolling around the gardens viewing the wildlife and watching the display. Website says no public interaction with wildlife on weekends, I was so glad this was wrong. I got to hold many birds, even had a kestrel sit... More
