We only popped in for some local information and a map but the ladies in the information centre couldn't have been more helpful, charming and entertaining. What a wonderful asset to a beautiful small town!
We wanted to visit The Heritage Centre as part of a full day out in Tewkesbury. The lady in the visitor centre was very helpful but I cannot rate this any higher than average as the main part was closed.
The access statement on the website says that "We have 2 lifts in the building, so that visitors can access both the first and second floors". But it doesn't tell you that the lifts can only be used if more than one staff volunteer is...More
Well laid out, loads of information, and a fascinating old building to look around. Hope that it is able to stay open. Easy to miss it, it does not stand out - some more signage in the town would help to direct visitors to this...More
Excellent exhibition explaining the history of the town including the eponymous battle of the Wars of the Roses fought just a short distance away. It puts the other historical parts of the town into context.
Worth a look, especially if you've already popped into the Tourist Information Centre on the ground floor (excellent, helpful staff here).. It's geared towards school groups but still of interest to adults.
