Was looking for a place to kill time my toddler son in Watford. Noticed this large park on Google maps, and tested. Was nicely surprised, it turned to be on of top UK parks by voting. It is really good, spacious, very green, has a wetlands reserve, rich playground, green area, walking paths, open air gym, fountains and shallow pools! Kids really have massive fun here. There public toilets, cafes and tap water stand. Everything is quite new, not much wear and tear. Enjoyed lock operations to move a boat upstream. Great experience! Parking is super busy there, arrive early, or choose a underground station nearby. More or less people start to leave only at 5 pm. It is a full day family time.

This isn’t about the park the park is absolutely gorgeous good parking and lots to do
This is about the so called interactive dinosaur experience I went with three young boys as a treat during the holidays
Their mum paid over £60 for tickets well what can I say very very disappointed it is not worth the money some of the exhibits were broken with bits missing it was haled as interactive experience they moved and some made noises some didn’t do anything badly set up and the whole experience didn’t take long very disappointed as were other people I know who went if your thinking of going don’t waste your money you can walk round the edge and see them without paying extortionate prices for the pleasure of looking at a few foam broken exhibits
The park need to think seriously about pricing and what they are offering I felt I had to write this to stop other parents in these hard times being ripped off and children disappointed

Was there with family and really enjoyed the time. Its a huge park with oodles of natural beauty. The sky was clear and we could see till far.. It felt as if we were seeing wallpapers on windows! There is a big children play area. We went around 4 pm, the park was not crowded. They were preparing for the upcoming dinosaur event. Unfortunately the cafes were closed. Overall good experience. Will visit again for sure.

Another very enjoyable visit to Cassiobury Park with our 4.5 year old grandson. Car parking was very reasonable - 2 hours free and £2.00 for another hour ! We first went and visited the ducks and swans and watched them being fed by others with special feed and then we headed for the large playground area with lots of different activities for all ages - small trampolines, roundabouts, climbing frames and slides of all sizes, animals on springs, fire engine +++. Then we walked along the path up to the smaller cafe at the top and we went in for a snack lunch - two toasted sandwiches - cheese & tomato and cheese & ham plus 2 flapjacks and of course tea for 2. All very enjoyable and reasonably priced.
We then had a nice walk back to the car after playing with a soap bubble machine.
Ideal open space in the good weather but not a great deal of cover if it is wet !

This is a fantastic park. The park has a great mixture of kids play areas, open spaces, paths to walk and rivers.
There is parking (not desperately well sign posted) but it's free for up to 2hrs which is welcome.
The park appears to have a splash area and a cafe but can't vouch for those.

Great woodlands and paths. Lacking signs along the paths and junctions in the wooded areas. Can get lost.

So many areas in this park. Large play area next to miniature railway and splash park. A nature walk by the river. Acres of park land. A toddler play area and two cafes. Co to Cha Cafe for better food options and prices. Love this park.
Paying for parking using the app is slow and annoying.

Wonderful day, great facilities, swimming splashpools were extremely clean! Loved the online system (you need to sign up to the 'everyone active' app and book a time slot to cassiobury splashpools. Means no queing with the kids. The train ride was loved by all ages, the train staff were lovely, the river walk lovely! Tip is to get to the Grade car park early which is right at the park, after 12 on a busy day is extremely busy 👍

What is the name of the pub? Not the one above the artificial ponds the other one that has a small playground. I need to contact them for a reservation. Thank you

Hi As others have said there are no pubs in the park. However if you want a pub there is one in Langely way. Leave the park at the bottom entrance/exit and walk up the hill on Langely way and you'll find on the roundabout. About a 5 min walk. They do serve food and have a garden.

Hi Gemma,
I was there yesterday and the pools weren't open.
I believe they're due to open in July.
Hope that helps?
