Went to the octagon on Friday night 2dec.to watch Cinderella with my daughter in law and her mother. It was the worst panto I have ever seen in my life. Costumes awful. Could hardly tell what they were saying.. I wouldn't advise anyone to waste their time and money.. Seen better at infant school

Never seen a bad play at the Octagon. Superb acting, brilliant set designs and some outstanding directors. The compact design means that you are never far from the action. This has to be the best theatre in the country, probably the world.

I've been to the Octagon numerous times. There Christmas productions are particularly special! It's a very involved experience for a theatre. The actors often come out into the audience. You feel really connected to the performance, every show I have seen has been fab!

The Theatre has a lovely intimate feel, yet the modern auditorium is large and offers excellent views of the production with a superb sound system.

It's a good idea to book your table in advance. My only criticism is that the bench seating is not particularly comfortable, so if you are going ask for a table with... More
