Absolutely beautiful place which is perfect for dog walking. We take young children as well who enjoy feeding the ducks. Can get quite busy and there's a small cafe serving food and ice cream. I'm a regular but it would benefit from more dog poo...More

This is my 5th or 6th visit over the years and it still creeps me out. Bleak, dark and miserable are the first words that spring to mind. The café was closed, the toilets look like something out of a horror movie (minus the gore)...More

Well recommended. Easy walk with a friendly cafe afterwards. The post code given is wrong which is not good when using a satnav. It is BL2 4JS

never been before, drive past often and decided to pull in, I was surprised at how lovely it is, nice walk around the reservoir and lots of picnic areas, ideal for dog walking on a hot sunny day

Fantastic walk. Takes approximately 1 hour to walk around. Nice for couples, friends & family who appreciate nature. Fantastic at Christmas: many of the regular walkers place memorial decorations on the trees. Great to look at and read the lovey messages.

I agree, not really the place for a BBQ. A picnic would be ok but we use the little cafe near the car park.

I believe a skeleton bus service passes the top of the jumbles. You could ring Bury / Bolton bus station for details of buses Good luck
