A good 2 hour walk from start to finish. Good nearby parking, but would recommend getting there by mid morning as it gets full up (there is on street parking around about though). It's a medium intensity walk (we are regular hill walkers)but well worth it as the views from the top are amazing.

Park at the base of The Wrekin, free to park, and take a nice walk up the mountain, paths are not particularly level but sufficient for most. Quite steep in parts and lovely no matter what the weather. Allow yourself a good hour to walk up and back.

It only takes about 20 to 25 minutes for a walk up but well worth it for the view. You do not have to be super fit but it can make you out of breath. Wear some decent walking shoes

The Wrekin is a great way to unwind...It's a challenging walk up hill, but once at the top, it's a wonderful spot to look out in all directions...And the dogs love it!

Fantastic views from the top and a brisk 30 minute walk to the summit. We took the dog. Plenty were. Very popular walking spot. Worth the effort to get to the top.

A steep climb up into the Shropshire countryside - not for the faint hearted. The views from the top are well worth the climb.

Everyone and I mean everyone in Shropshire knows of this famous landmark, I have been going up, down and around it since the seventies. Always a good climb, these days it takes me around 40/45 mins to get to the top. Always plenty of folk about, very popular around xmas. The views are amazing on a clear day, well worth... More

It is basically all up hill , no flat bits , to the top. It is quite steep , not the Himalayas but I felt invigorated on my return after the 90 minute walk.

The weather was good so in a bid to walk off the excesses of Christmas we walked to the top of the Wrekin for the first time in over 30 years. It's an exhilarating walk rewarded by beautiful views and a sense of achievement. Far more people walk the Wrekin now with dogs or horses or bicycles or indeed run... More

We have climbed the Wrekin many times over the last 50 years, it is a very nice exhilarating steady walk, perhaps not for anyone with heart problems etc, however!!! The top can be clouded over at times & you can get very wet & cold, so it best to go prepared for English weather, also take plenty of drinks &... More
