The Wrekin is a great place to go for a long walk or to get/keep fit. Fairly large in size it does take some effort to climb but there is a rest area around 1/2 way up. Fantastic views from the top and even better when you manage to get back down : )

A bit of effort required but on a clear day, fantastic. 40 minutes up, 20 mins down for average fitness, dont forget your liquids, no shop up top.

Just the walk to get the lungs and heart working. A choice of distances to walk with a number of different routes up and down or around the base. Plenty of parking and popular with all sorts of people. Can get lost if you take a wrong turn but easy to get back to the car as you can see... More

Setting off from the Buckatree hotel we followed the crowds of dog walkers, fell runners, Leki pole walkers up through the woods, it's a well trodden wide path that seemed to get steeper the higher you went. When you escape the trees you get amazing views of Shropshire. Some people walked back the same way but we went straight over... More

Took a while to walk up. Could do with an escalator or a lift. Quite a lot of nature about when you walk up.

Taken the dog here a few times now, and she loves it. A slow stroll can take 3 hrs if you go the long way around but that ends with a steep climb. (At least it does the way we go up). Great views at the top too.

Great place to walk with family, friends. The views on a clear day are amazing. You always feel a great sence of achievement once you've climbed up and down. Highly recommend as something free to do in the great outdoors
