Very interesting museum that shows the evolution of tiles and has a very important exhibition. The jackfield factory is still producing and is at one side of the museum.

The tile museum seemed a good choice to spend an hour out of the rain at the Ironbridge site. We expected a couple of rooms of tiles, instead we found a big, informative and interesting museum displaying thousands of tiles of all shapes, colours, styles...More

With a passport to visit all the Ironbridge sites, a visit to the Tile Museum is a must, however I don't think it's worth the one trip price (£9 or £8.10 for an OAP). Some of the displays, particular the panels such as the Shakespeare...More

Now, I do love a good tile so I was always going to enjoy this place but it was better than I imagined. Wonderful displays, really informative, lovely staff, nice cafe and overall a really great day out. Marvellous!

Most of the world's encaustic (quarry) floor tiles in Victorian times came from here or hereabouts. The exhibition of tiles is great and the ceramic ones hold examples by de Morgan as well as designs by Pugin. Well worth a vist, and if you have...More

One of the museum sites in the Ironbridge gorge, a really well set up museum, Absolutely genuine, with many original pieces presented in their buildings of an original Victorian tile factory site. You will see where the London Underground station wall cladding originated. Many pieces,...More

Came with a friend who is passionate about tiles otherwise would never have thought to visit. Extremely interesting and well put together displays - a delight to wander around. Had a sandwich from the little café - delicious.
