A small, very old pub (established "circa 1680") on the edge of Derby city centre. It's certainly one of the prettiest and coziest public houses in Derby, but the real ale selection - considering that the town prizes itself as the real ale capital of...More

An unpretentious cosy pub with a small selection of real ales, well-kept. Dates back to the seventeenth century and has genuine olde world charm.

Beer not great, staff do not know how to keep ale (did not recognise that beer was gone and immediately changed to different beer on same pump without a flush through, let alone a line clean). Toilets not maintained (toilet roll shortage) and the smell...More

Lovely traditional style pub with good choice of ale's and an even better selecion of gin's, service is always quick and efficient. Not too keen on the Tv screens in both parts of the bar though.

Lovely old building with interesting history. Good selection of beers but no decent ciders on tap and had to resort to bottled.

Hi there. We do allow dogs in apart from when it's busy, more for the safety of the dog. We don't serve food but have a range of cobs on offer daily. Thanks
