The Aeropark is both an aviation museum and a viewing area where you can study the preserved planes of yesteryear or watch the modern airliners of today taking-off and landing at a growing international passenger and cargo airport.

Within the Aeropark there is a viewing mound where the top of the viewing mound is just 170 meters north of the main east/west runway of the airport.

The Aeropark at East Midlands Airport is located in the north-west corner of the Airport site close to the village of Castle Donington. It is well signposted from the Airport's main entrance.

So last Thursday I had a rare day off work without the missus. Having wanted to visit this museum for a number of years I finally decided to do the two hour drive and go, in many ways I wish I hadn't! Firstly let me say the variety of aircraft on show (mainly post war jets) is excellent with some... More

Popped along for the day with a group of people and received a very warm welcome from Stan who gave us all the low down of the park. Planes to actually get in to!! This is a very user friendly, well laid out and extremely informative. We had a lady in an electric wheelchair with us and she had no... More

Love this airport so easy to check in great facilities for a small airport. I always book flights from here if I can my first choice.

Great aviation museum with a Vulcan and Nimrod and much more. Right next to East midlands Airport so take a picnic and sit on the hill and watch the coming and goings of the airport. Small cafe and shop. Run by volunteers so your support is vital to keep this museum going. Opening times vary so see website to check.

I visited here last summer with friends from my motor bike club. We were all made very welcome by the friendly volunteer staff and they showed us around the planes and gave us extra information on the exhibits. After we had a hot drink and snacks in the cafe - great day out, good value, plenty of parking and friendly... More

Stale food and extra charges for food and drinks. Just as easy to use the bar facilities and buy some food. A waste of money !

This report is not relevant to East Midlands Aeropark as we do not sell food, and on the date of visit / review the Aeropark was closed for the winter season. More

We always have breakfast in the Castle Rock Tap if we have an early flight. Plenty of space, polite staff and a decent English breakfast for £8.99 BUT disappointed to find you now have to pay 50p for a slice of toast and of course drinks extra. Breakfast better value than bacon bap (4.95) and comes with egg, two bacon,... More

Great day out, all four kids loved it, even us adults thought it was great. Got to look inside the Vulcan bomber and other planes. Definitely will return.

Love this place, so much oily mechanics and really enthusiastic staff who share tales and insight into the craft. Simpky a must visit venue, enjoy the nostalgia.
