The drive around the Comeragh mountains is amazing with great views of the surrounding countryside and all the way down to the coast, there is a car park near the Mahon falls and you have climb up along a decent walkway up to the falls.

From the rocky outcrops to Coumshingaun Lake and taking in the Mahon Falls, the views speak for themselves...no words are necessary. A hiker's paradise.

Entry is currently free, which is always an attraction for an OPW site. the lady on the front desk was very helpful and informative. We had the castle to ourselves the whole visit, the highlight was going up the tower reading all about the history....More

Go up here & play on the road near the 'fairy tree' where you can 'roll backwards uphill!', visit Mahon falls & take photographs of beautiful scenery you will find hard to beat, You can see for miles across Co Waterford & out to sea.
