Some fantastic glass sculpture spent 30-40 minutes going around shop but did not take tour as have done it before. Looked at all the golf trophies that Waterford has made.

Hi Ken3216, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to The House of Waterford Crystal. Waterford Crystal has created trophies for sporting events in golf, tennis, horse racing, rugby, sailing, snooker and many more and to see them on display is lovely especially when you recognise the trophy from your favourite sport. Our tour took us through the plant to see all the stages of the production of the famous crystal. Craftsmen were willing to talk to us about what they did, as well as demonstrating the various techniques.

A surprisingly interesting tour even for people not that interested in crystal! We decided to visit and learn why Waterford Crystal was so famous. We didn't know much about crystal, nor were were particularly interested before the visit, but we still really enjoyed the tour. We learned about the history of the company and the walk through the working factory... More

This was such a great tour getting to watch them blow the crystal, cut and engrave it. It gives you a great appreciation for how spectacular the pieces are. Definitely worth going on the tour.

My wife wanted to go to this activity and I wasn't all that keen to go. I agreed to go in the end and was very pleased I did. The glass blowing, cutting, etching etc was just superb, as was the commentary. All in all, a very good activity and at a fair price, I thought.

A nice little tour that gets you up close with the crystal making process. Having a chance to actually interact with the craftsmen while they work was unique and special. If you like crystal and are in the area, take an hour and enjoy this tour. You can book tickets ahead online but these are good for a year and... More

finally a working factory tour... after disney-like experiences at the Guinness storehouse and Jameson distillery, where you are visiting life size dioramas, it was great to see the actual workers making beautiful crystal pieces. when you visit the gift shop, be aware of a couple of things: * you can ship direct to home - not cheap, but for larger... The tour really highlighted not just the glass blowing, but sooooo much skill to cut such great art. Good tour and really increased my appreciation for the time and craftsmanship. Also get to see some factory only pieces being made Would highly recommend

When you first go into the Waterford Crystal shop and start looking at the pieces on display, you may think that the prices are high for some "fancy glass". Take the tour. See how much work goes into making that "fancy glass". You will emerge from the workshop with a new appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into each and... More
