Fantastic opportunity to explore another part of sligo. Slightly off the beaten track as it's not the easiest to find, but you can gain access from collooney near the gulf petrol station. This forest is also used by a mountain bike club so watch out...More

With all the walks available in Ireland (Strandhill, Rosses Point and others) the Union Wood was a litttle dissapointing. was a nice walk , stroll in woods, but nothing special. the trails are not well signed and you can end up walking around the woods...More

I always come here when walking the dog and I absouletely love the scenery of the mountains along with the bit of the lake. The problems I have with the walking trail that its not smooth and too rocky. Also you hardly see the lake...More
