The Holy Well is a beautiful place, a Church outdoors. Congratulations to all who maintain the grounds throughout the year. The Mass Rock, various Shrines, Flowing Water, and the Mysteries of the Rosary and Stations of the Cross help to instill a sense of prayer and reflection. Well worth a visit.

Unfortunately hadn't read the reviews before we visited. Expected a peaceful tranquil spiritual place to wander around. It is peaceful and tranquil. Unfortunately the Catholic Church has comandeered it for itself instead of leaving as it was meant to be. Didn't expect to see loads of religious statues and plaques with the decades of the rosary on them. And of... More

Beautiful stop off on our way to donegal. Tranquil setting. Even if you are not religious it's a nice little place to sit and be surrounded by the sound of the trickling water.

This location is beautiful. We have traveled to many of the sacred places in Ireland and I truly felt a sense of peace while walking the stations at this Holy Well. It is steeped in history and worth reading about before going so you get a good understanding of what this place has meant to so many people. The signs... More

A lovely woman I was staying with brought me here. It was her special place even though she was not religious. She said no one ever really goes there. It is a beautiful little stream and hedge with a few religious statues. It is a spiritual place with calmness. However, a huge bus arrived 10 minutes after us. My new... More

If you are religious in anyway this a site is worth a visit. It is not too tacky. It made me smile! You are advised not to drink the water, unless you want to meet your maker.

Growing up in Sligo, this was a place that we frequently visited and even then it had a magical feeling, a feeling of entering a different time .Now returning as a adult I was happy to see the place is basically the same , some extra seating and perhaps better tended pathways , a credit to the local community.
