We stayed a night at Powers Court hotel. It is a magnificent country hotel. The rooms are extremely generous with separate walk in wardrobe areas and huge beds. The grounds and hotel/service was nothing short of amazing. We visited for the day from our trip to Dublin (which is well worth doing) for my partners birthday. Being able to wander around the landscape and gardens is enough reason to go, especially on a day with pleasant weather, but be aware there is not much you can see on the inside of the building. There are a few shops, a cafe, and a small museum, which has no artifacts, just information placards.

We were so glad we made this stop when we were in Ireland this past week. It he castle itself was beautiful but walking around the grounds left us speechless. It was phenomenal how they keep up the landscape and gardens. Like nothing I have seen before
