Pleasant surprise to walk dedicated pathways for walkers and cyclists but it's a problem trying not to avoid the cyclists who think a ring of a bell because they are in your way

Rented bikes from Clew Bay Bike Hire. Stopped along the way at pubs in Newport. Great scenery. Met several farmers along the way, and spotted the Mulranny goats too.

There are some unbelievably beautiful views along this greenway which are breathtaking to behold. It's well worth the trek even for just a short stint if you can't do a long stint of it.

The greenway is a lovely cycle path with lovely scenery except from Newport to Westport. I’d leave that part out in future. Mulranny is a lovely spot. Particularly when weather sunny. ( although it rained when we there.) The greenway from the quay to Westport...More

This can be a half or full day activity (either hike or bike - we did both) The trail is very well marked and easy to follow. Even in the rain (for part of it) it was really great.

Pretty flat and good for me with little to moderate exercise pattern! Got our bikes from clewbay bike hire and they dropped us off at Achill and we cycled back to westport! Beautiful

Yes, the bike hire has busses to pick you up & drop you off any starting point or any place on the track.

yes Mulranny village has accommodation and bike hire. We stayed in the Mulranny Courtyard Suites. very good value
