pros: beautiful grounds, amazing construction, café/gift shop, ample parking, exterior free admission cons: interior not accessible after September, closes at 5 or 6pm, rural Ireland

Visited in mid October. The house was closed during my visit - which is a pity as it looked wonderful. The gardens were lovely though and were perfect for an autumn stroll.

I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours touring Emo Court House and Grounds. The house tour lasts around 35 minutes and is brilliant value at €5 for adults. The beautiful grounds are completely free. Careful though, opening hours are seasonal so check before you travel....More

Beside great guided tour we had a pleasant walk around the demesne gardens and lake. Parking just outside the house and tea rooms on site.

Arrived just after the house and coffee shop had closed. Tge grounds are stunning and the exterior of the house is fabulous. The lake walk is beautiful and we had a lovely time. Definetly be back.
