I am a huge fan of Nicholas Mosse pottery itself and I highly recommend a visit to the pottery workshop in Bennetsbridge. The workshop is in an old mill, right on the bank of the river and you can still see the mill wheel and millrace outside. The pottery has different patterns with new ones added from time to time,... I have been using/collecting the Landscape pattern by Nicolas Mosse for the last 18 years and when I visit Ireland, we always drive to the pottery store to buy more! Be sure to look through the stock downstairs and the seconds upstairs. The quality and craftsmanship cannot be matched. Every single time we visit, we have had sincere and exceptional... More

At the end of a long walk from Kilkenny city, along the Nore River we were delighted to see Nicholas Mosse in the distance. The cafe in this lovely old building is just fantastic. We were starving after the walk, and got delicious food, served by lovely staff. We asked the lady in the shop about getting a taxi back... More

This pottery studio is well worth a visit if you are staying in Kilkenny or nearby. It is in a beautiful location on the river bank. They offer great viewing stations of the potters at work and there is a fantastic selection of seconds available to buy. We also enjoyed a lovely quiche and cake in there cafe

The pottery is in a former flour mill on the river south of Kilkenny. You can watch the pottery being made and decorated. There is also a cafe where you can get tea, coffee, baked goods and light lunches. The pottery is traditional Irish sponge ware. While the throwing of the pots and finishing with brush strokes is highly skilled... More

charming quaint and rather pricey -- but fun to look around. The staff was very welcoming and anxious to help in any way--to ship back to the states--can't handle the heaviness of the purchases on the plane-- I bought a few pieces--just will wait for delivery soon

A must do trip while visiting Kilkenny! A meandering drive through a scenic route will lead you here! Beautiful pottery, made on site, ability to view the crafters at work! The second floor contains exactly that! Seconds! Discounted with slight imperfections not always visible to the eye! The cafe is a hidden gem with some of the tastiest food around!... More
