Especially lots of information on how 1,300 AD archeology and interior design meet! The castle, inside and out, is beautiful, and in the middle of town. For those (like me) who like to... More

The castle deserve an inside visit for sure. It was really interesting to realise the huge amount of work done to restore it. Our guide (Maurice?) was lively, really into his subject, never boring with the big history and little details. I learned a lot! The castle had also a warmth touch with the Christmas decorations. I recommend it.

The wife and I went here for a tour. It lasted around 45 minutes. The castle and grounds are beautiful and the tour was very informative. Kilenny is a beautiful town.

The castle grounds are nothing special from a park perspective but certainly popular with locals. It's easy to find the castle and the town center is very pretty with many shops. You are not allowed to walk around the castle without being a part of the tour, or to join a tour a couple minutes late. However the castle is... More

What a wonderful time to visit Kilkenny Castle, a winter wonderland of medieval delight trimmed with Yuletide splendour. A must do for young and old.

Kilkenny castle is preserved in the style of a Victorian manor (so don't count on it for your medieval castle experience). We enjoyed the tour, which was about 45 minutes and full of information. One tip: if you are taking the last tour of the day, try to arrive with some time to wander around the grounds before the tour... More
