We climbed the Devil's Ladder route with Piaras during the Easter break. He is incredibly patient, as our group was mixed ability and fitness. His knowledge of Caurauntoohil is impressive and will keep you entertained on your climb! Would definitely recommend! Emily, Noeleen and Sinead

We are a tour company based in Kerry offering a small selection of all inclusive guided walking holidays in other parts Ireland and the UK as part of our special interest section in our annual brochure. We were looking for a professional mountain guiding company to accompany our groups for these guided mountain ascents. After much research we decided to... More

We recently spent a day under the watchful eye of Kerry Mountain Climibing while climbing Carrauntoohil. We probably chose the worst day wether wise to climb as it was snowing the majority of the way up and down. It felt more like the alps than Kerry! Nevertheless we felt very at ease as Piaras was an excellent guide. He kept... More

Congratulations once again on your fantastic achievement of climbing the highest mountain in Ireland on such a cold and wild wintry day and delighted to hear that despite this you all still enjoyed and appreciated the entire experience. It is indeed a tough and hugely challenging day even on the sunniest of days but a much more testing proposition on... More

We had an amazing day on Saturday 22nd April climbing Carrantuohill up the devils ladder route. The day was so bright and clear, the views were amazing. Myself and family decided to climb Carrauntoohill for my dads birthday in April. We couldn't have chosen a better day, with clear blue skies and not a drop of rain! Piaras was an amazing guide! He knew so much about the mountains and you could tell how passionate he is about nature and his job. Piaras knew when to stop... More

We're avid hikers of the southwest USA, and have done harder hikes, but not many! Our guide, Pearce, from Kerry Climbing, was fun, informative about the area and local conservation concerns and was very professional and watchfull. With about 12 of us we still kept a good pace and rested often enough. The Irish gods were on our side and... More

My wife and I climbed Carrantoohil in Kerry on Easter Monday 2017. Given it is Ireland's highest mountain and we were unfamiliar with Carrantoohil, we decided to do it with a local guide - Pearse from KerryClimbing. The entire experience from start to finish was world class. Pearse brought us up an alternative route away from the main route, safely,... More
