This park is lovely. Start at Saint Mary's Cathedral and follow the main path. You walk through a manicured garden area and then head into the woods. It's peaceful and there are birds and flowers to see. The walk to Ross Castle took about 45...More

Breathtaking landscape. Mountains in the background, glaciated lakes and green, wide u-shaped valleys. Hike around the lake recommended.

Fantastic for walking, jogging, cycling or even a spin in a jaunting car. Miles of walkways. Particularly like the walk from muckross house to torc waterfall and the loop walk around the waterfall.

Very peaceful, great scenery, a lot of photo opportunities. It could get foggy. Some sections of the toad had striping going on and reduced to single lane.

As part of the travel around the Ring of Kerry was travel through the park. It had many excellent views and was delightful trip. We were on a motor coach with an excellent guide who had many stories as well as insights into the area

We had some great weather and enjoyed our brief time in the Killarney Park area. We started at the Ross Castle, Governor's Rock for hiking and a trip up to the waterfall added additional areas of interest.

We spent an enjoyable day at this national park. We began with a self-guided tour of an old Abbey and graveyard. There is a scenic walk along a lake with many photo ops. Also a beautiful mansion that is open for tours. We also went...More

The area is still populated ( very sparsely), and the tracks are meant for locals who reside in the area. The tracks are not meant for regular traffic. The tracks would not stand up to more than they currently experience... More

Hi, I'd say an hour each way easily to the lower falls. There is another smaller falls above the main falls but these involve a fairly steep climb. The gardens were really worth the visit. There's another circular walk... More

Is there a walking path that hits all of the main sights? From maps it looks like you might have to drive from one area to another. Also, how long should we allocate for time touring the park and enjoying the general area (not including the Ring)?
