The Franciscan friars at Fair Hill have long ministered to the townspeople. The Franciscan tradition is strong in the town, with Friars being associated with the area from the 300's. The Friary itself is a magnificent structure which holds most of its original wood structures such as confessionals, which survived Vatican II. Definitely worth a visit.

So this small town can support so many churches and they are still practicing which means when we came they had an afternoon service even though it was mid-week. Architecture was lovely. Nice to come

This is a beautiful friary in the centre of Killarney. We took the opportunity to sit and reflect. The mosaic at the alter looks like a painted wall from a distance but is absolutely beautiful mosaic work. A highlight of our visit to Killarney.

This church is beautiful inside and out. For those that love history and spiritual presence it is a must see. Their gift shop is amazing and the people there are so sweet.

Dropped in here just to have a look and say a quiet prayer. There is a shop attached with reasonable prices for holy objects. Bought a rosary beads for a friend. I was sent to the church to have it blessed by a priest who was hearing confessions. He was a lovely man and we availed of the opportunity to... More
