Worth a visit The township very quaint. It was pouring rain on our day so this limited our visit somewhat. Enjoyed the Castle even for someone who had... More

Yes, All your readers are correct, the castle is being restored, however there is video plus still images of the castle well before the restoration work started. It is a magnificent building, well worth the drive or short walk down the lane. This footage can be viewed on either kerrytelevision. or via facebook.

Went there in September 2013 and the place is completely covered in scaffolding and you can't go anywhere near it. I'm sure it would be fun, but just be forewarned if you're making your way down there soon.

Based off the other 5 star review for this castle I decided to go in search of it. While it is not exactly where shown it is not far off at all. It's on N72 past killorgin and not much before the gap of dunloe. Down and around an old farm road. Unfortunately for me, they are in the process... More

The address on TripAdvisor is wrong. Entered into two different GPS's, it lead to the same urban location- we even asked around and were told there were no ruins in that general area. Wasted several hours of vacation. :-(

This small castle ruin is at the end of a small farm road and marked only with a small sign at the main road. Don't give up too soon, just keep going to the end. There is a small gate that you go through that opens to a fenced path to the castle. The walk is as nice as the... More
