this was totally worth the visit. Several traditional homes where you can talk with locals about how farmers lived. It is an excellent self tour! Also, fun to see the animals in the barnyard.

Wonderful setup. You can walk from exhibit to exhibit, or take a bus. You will see how a farm laborer lived, how a small farmer lived, a wealthier farmer, as well as a blacksmith, a school, etc. Costumed staff prepare food in the various cottages,...More

Visiting the farmhouses w/the warm, welcoming and well informed docents was a very memorable part of our trip. Everything was so well maintained really gives you a feel for how life was in that time. Loved the animals, too!

Loved the farm animals. The baby kids were so precious, could have watched them all day. Piglets, calf, bunnies, puppies, chicks, ponies... an animal lovers delight. So interesting to get a glimpse of what life might have been like on a farm.

Our trip to Ireland included a day around the Ring. There is so much to see. Make Muckross a must stop. You can see and walk as much as you'd like or do less. Beautiful scenery
