The thatched roof is unusual and interesting. This house is located in Killarney National Park. Viewing it can be part of your "stroll" through the park. Other reviewers mentioned the interior of the house. The house was not open when we visited it.

Be sure to stop at the cafe after your stroll through the park. Only way to finish a day of gazing at the mountains and lakes....

I love to see this cottage every time I enter Killarney National Park from this side. Beautifully maintained, there's also a coffee shop serving lovely homemade baking, coffees/teas. One Dan then head to walk in any direction within the extensive parklands.

Very casual but fun place to have tea or light snack. We had a table outside and were able to enjoy the park sights and jaunty cars passing by.

We discovered this attraction while on a walk - we had no idea it was there. We were very much impressed with the roof thatching - the most impressive we saw in all of Ireland. It is worth visiting this easy-to-access attraction.

The Tea Room is not a large space. I love this particular place because it's a great starting off place to sit and enjoy a nice cup of tea or at the end of a long day of walking through the park. My daughter and I love to come in September or October and enjoy a cup of hot tea... More

Knockreer House is not accessible for the public. The view from this location is more or less obstructed by trees. So don't bother to go there. The only great looking building I discovered on the estate is Deenagh Lodge Tea Room which was built in 1834.

The house that was rebuild lacks any character, the garden is a mowed area left to go wild. There are neat steps but sadly that is all that remains. The are so many other things you should do rather than go here.

What a sweet little cottage this is, with the most exquisite thatched roof. After having a stroll around the park, my husband and I had a lovely coffee here ( they use Java) and a very tasty slice of apple tart and cream. I think it is an excellent idea to provide employment opportunities for Downs syndrome sufferers and the experience... More
