WOW and Amazing! Carmel from Vagabond Tour group really had us prepared and we understood how the boat ride worked, what to take with us, and how to be prepared. Than you Carmel! Here are a couple of suggestions that worked well for us: —...More

The experience starts with the trip. We took the long boat trip (2 hrs) from skelligboattours which was really great. And then we went onto the island. It is beautiful, astonishing, amazing and has breath-taking views. You need to be in good health to climb...More

So to start off, I have a moderate case of Acrophobia (especially when it comes to narrow high up ledges) so I was rather trepidatious about this portion of our trip. I spent most of the time leading up to our flight to Ireland psyching...More

The weather gods blessed us as we had beautiful blue skies and (mostly) calm seas for our trip to Skellig Michael. What an amazing trip and truly stunning views, a must-do if you are traveling around Kerry. The walk up to the Monestary at the...More

June 27th 2017, the rain cleared and the knowledgable crew onboard the Skellig Adventure armed with chat, comforts and a cuppa entertained on the journey to the edge of the world. The Skelligs did not dissappoint and the guides generously shared their knowledge. Thank you...More

We were hit with crummy weather the morning of our tour. But we arrived at the Skellig Experience Center to find our captain ready to go. We went with the newer company Skellig Walker and were NOT disappointed. The boat was only a few months...More

Depending on the sea conditions and boat operator you choose, the crossing can be uncomfortable. And both the ascent and descent can be a bit precarious and at times scary. But to me, these challenges only add to the experience and reveal just a hint...More

I really like this place. When you get to the top, it's awesome. With that said, I can see why Marc Hammil hated it; it can be a nightmare to get up. The day I went, it was raining. The steps, which are iffy on...More

Skellig Michael was one of the few things I have seen that truly deserve to be called awesome. It is an awe inspiring and spiritual place. I felt very lucky that I had the opportunity to go since the weather was not good in the...More

You could if you have rubber tips. I didn't see anyone using trekking poles, but it should be possible. Skellig Michael is mostly rock. Your regular tip would not get any purchase on the step or the rocky surface. Good... More
