Can I Give It 6 Stars?

I had already rated Tralee a 5 star course but I think Ballybunion has the edge on it. The course is fabulous, our caddies were great young men and the clubhouse is top notch. But... read more

I had already rated Tralee a 5 star course but I think Ballybunion has the edge on it. The course is fabulous, our caddies were great young men and the clubhouse is top notch. But what really made it stand out for us was the service that went above and beyond. We discovered shortly after arriving that we had a... More

12 of us recently played Ballybunion Old Course. It's a classic Irish course on the ocean with tons of history. The service was very good, the course was in good shape and I'd love to play it again tomorrow! It's a little more of a target golf course than some of the others we played but it was a blast... We were lucky enough to play Ballybunion as part of a 10 day group trip in late June. The course is and was as good as any in the country. The fact I had my first and only eagle of the trip didn't hurt my feelings towards the course either. From the opening hole by the cemetery to the final... More

Played here in 2003 and again in 2015. Forgot how great this golf course is. Outstanding weather in early September. Course in excellent shape. One of the worlds best.

I enjoyed Ballybunion and Waterville the most of the six courses we played. It's an interesting layout in that you tee off over the green you just played a couple of times. You can see most of the trouble from the tee box. Good scenery on a tough but playable links course. Don't miss it.

Group of 8 checked off on of golfs bucket list courses at Bally B last week. Got out of the van w/ winds easily pushing 40-45 mph, sideways rain, we thought we were in for a long day. after 3rd hole rain stopped, wind eased up a little and we experienced it all. Each of us got our own caddy,... More

Having just got home from a corporate days golf on the Old Course, there was nowhere in the world of golf that could have matched, the course, the setting and of course the weather Congratulations to the club and the course committee for the work done during the closed season, and I can guarantee that the work will reap the benefits it deserves

We played in a torrential down pour. The wind was almost gale force. Our caddie was most helpful but these were horrendous conditions. I only wish I had another day to play this beautiful course.

We played this course last year and this year and both times we got a lashing from the sea -you could see the storms come in and luckily they did not last long. It made for exciting golf and we were lucky to have a great caddie with us, Mark Allen. This is one of our favourite golf courses in... More

If this isn't the best golf course in Ireland, then I don't know what is. Really enjoy BallyB every time I play. The Par 4s on the back 9 are so memorable, especially the 11th and I always seem to Par the 18th, which always ensures I leave the course with a smile on my face.
