We chose to do the "wild Atlantic way" based on Rick Steve's handbook "Ireland". This is a must have accessory if you are traveling to Ireland and Scotland. We stayed in B&B's recommended by him and chose to rent a car and drive the ring instead of the huge tour buses. This was a perfect choice. The views are hard... More

Dennis was excellent in leading us around the Ring of Kerry. Wonderful storyteller, perfect stops in quaint little villages, great lunch spot and lots of history all contributed to the perfect day! A must see if you are in the area! We booked it online the night before but some people were able to get tickets that morning.

Drove the entire ring. Majestic views of the Atlantic ocean interspersed with quaint little villages was a delight to experience. The view from the actual Kerry's ring view point was spectacular.

We spent six hours including lunch driving the Ring of Kerry. It was amazing. We drove part of the journey on roads which are cut into the mountainside. We were in awe at the beauty. I took so many photos. It was truly breathtaking!!!

We found this route to be really stunning, a few twisty thin roads but any confident driver would tackle them with ease. Loads of different places to stop for photographs and scenic views, or small detours for multiple delightful little towns filled with good cafes. It is a long drive so a buddy would be great but not essential, otherwise... More

We visited the Ring of Kerry on our recent CIE Tour of Ireland. It was nothing short of amazing! We stopped so many times and took the most beautiful pictures. My favorite one is of a young man with a donkey and a dog. He was making crosses to sell. Of course, we bought one. Love the Ring of Kerry... More

Beautiful scenery. We stopped for the ring forts. Wow they were amazing. We also drove out to the lighthouse on the questionable roads. Worth the trip. Add on the ferry trip and Skellig Ring. Be sure to stop just after Portmagee and pay the parking fee to see the cliffs. They are almost as stunning as Moher. It took all... More

We did a self drive and stopped whenever a scenic sight was spotted. It is quite safe as there are signs to prompt on where you can stop your car to take pictures. I would strongly encourage to have two Drivers so that you can take turns to enjoy the scenery.

The Kerry Way is an amazing drive of about 70-80 Kim of small winding roads that will have you climbing and descending hills, and holding on to your seat for what's around the next curve. The drive itself was an experience never to be forgotten. The are many, many sights and stops you can make as you go, to do... More
