The trail was amazing definitely a highlight of my trip to Ireland. They've put down alot of gravel and stones to make the trek easier though towards the top it did get a little steep. Also its free! We stayed in Galway and just took a city link bus right to the entrance very convenient.

Well worth the hour and half drive from Galway city. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bring a brolley, the west rarely let's you down when it comes to rain.

We left early the next day to visit Connemara. Our itenary called for a drive to the national park but instead we added the Connemara Loop drive as well stopping at several small towns to take pictures, have coffee etc. The Connemara Loop takes you to some absolutely marvelous country and lakes. It was amazing. The granite hills (ooops) mountains... More

Lots of rain, but the landscape is breathtaking and the access paths were not to difficult for my little 3 years old daughter. All that green and the ocean sight were delightful!

Took a day trip and saw Galway bay, Connemara, and the Kylemore castle. It was more than worth it. So many amazing sights and it was much better being on the tour bus relaxing instead of driving the winding roads ourselves.

I thought that I will find an amazing landscape after I have been to so many green and beautidul places. Didn't worth the trip to go there even more that if you are not with car you can't go to any other place since the bys only pass 1 time morning and 1 night.

During the semester break we (family of 9 with 4 young children)headed to Clifden and took a chance on the showery weather to check out the national park. There are several possible trails from very short to a couple of hours. We chose the middle one and it was perfect for our groups abilities. The views are splendid in every... More

Enjoyed a wonderful visit here in July. Did the lower trail on Diamond Hill, fabulous views and enjoyed a coffee afterwards at the restaurant.
