Spent the day in Galway and visited Taafes for drinks and traditional music. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The music is spectacular. Highly recommended.

Cute, quiet place. Perfect to have a pint and chat. Really great location with really great beer! Part of what make Galway amazing!

We went for the traditional music session, and it was great fun, packed to the rafters, though. Get there early if you want a seat, and very early if you want a table.

We showed up around 530pm to hear some live music while in Galway. Had to wait our turn for good seats but it was worth it! Great atmosphere and met loads of friendly Irish, old and young, great staff! Show up early on weekends, definitely coming back!! Ray Fox Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada

We enjoyed pints of Guinness and Bullmen's cider as we listened to a three-man band squeeze themselves into a corner of this bar and play great music. The place filled up fast and there was barely a square inch left to stand on. Bar staff were friendly. If you like crowds, you'll love this place.

Great place to stop for lunch when shopping in the city. Food and service were good. On previous visits we enjoyed the live music. Traditional pub.

My husband and I spent some time in this pub having a few pints and enjoying the lively atmosphere and live music. We didn't try the food but everything we saw looked great. I believe they stop serving food fairly early, maybe around 5pm. Our bartender was very friendly and made great conversation with us, and also provided great service... More

We stopped in for an enjoyable evening of local traditional music and drinks. The staff and customers were very friendly. It is quite popular so get there a bit early as it gets crowded. The music was great as was the Guinness!

This bar had great live music, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The irish coffee was one of the best i've had.

Actually visited this place twice during my stay in Galway. Ambiance is great and service is excellent ! They serve the perfect local beer. Had the Galway Gold (Irish Red Ale) on my first visit and the Galway Hooker (Irish Pale Ale - named after the Connemara sailing boats) on my second visit. Had lunch on my first visit and... More
