Had a great walk on the prom, loads of places to sit and relax. The beaches we busy and clean. Didn't have a swim but the water looked lovely

Galway Bay beaches are not great in terms of those on the Mediterranean or other parts of Europe but they are worth visiting and are safe as regards "wildlife". You may spot an occasional Basking Shark one of the largest in the world but harmless...More

Quiet in April but a lovely walk along a clean and well kept beach. Nice area to visit, I'd imagine, especially in the sunshine

This promenade is simply wonderful. Was delighted to see so many locals using it (especially at the weekend) and enjoyed several walks along it. It's clean, well kept and just a delight - don't miss it if you're in the area!

A lovely promenade along by the beach sets the standards here, beautiful clean beach with nice sit down areas. Lovely views on a clear day just what's needed to relax and unwind.

You can't help but feel relaxed, refreshed and reinvigorated here. The open space, bracing walks and friendly vibe all make this feel very welcoming. That's the Irish for you. Lovely.
