My review is solely based on the outside appearance, as I didn’t have the time to visit and go inside. To be honest we didn’t even know this existed, we drove past it on the way into central Galway, and I just thought what a beautiful Cathedral. The architecture is stunning, and it really does catch you eye. It’s worth... More

This cathedral is small but of course nice, but nothing extra ordinary as it does not differ from any other cathedral or similar buildings but still definitely worth visiting while in Galway, which is in general very nice city.

Great Cathedral that's still being used. Located on a really nice walk near the water. Also, it's free! Stop by if you're in the area.

Amazing history with a great link to the US. See if you can find JFK's mural on the wall! Afterwards take a walk down the corib to the bay.

A wonderful walk through Galway City's amazing laneways and you will find this gem of a cathedral, crossing over a very pretty bridge with glorious river views, even the occasional water foul to be seen, well worth wandering around and admiring! Walk down beside the river as part of your return journey, very pretty and peaceful (both on a sunny... More

Although the exterior is classic Gothic, the interior is a find example of 20th century religious architecture.

Without doubt worth a visit for the sheer beauty of the building alone. Take time to soak in the tranquility and the magnificent stained glass and vaulted ceiling.
