We walked around the docks here and found them like all other dock areas. There was a ferry in so must be where they leave from. There were business & personal boats docked here. Water was dirty, lots of trash floating around.

The docks area has improved very much with a new marina for yachts and boats it's become a good place to stroll around and look at the ships and yachts.some restaurants and bar there too.

it was really nice to hang out under a tree, enjoying the sun. people were relaxed and the view was amazing. I recommend. Good place for picnic

I ended up staying at an Airbnb just off the Docks. It was fun to see the ships come in and out. It was also pretty cool to see the festival set up! Quite a cool place to be at! Definitely try to hit up...More

No good reason to visit galway. Tidal restrictions and expensive limited facilities. Better head north to Rossaveel and catch a bus to Galway.

The docks are right by the Spanish Arch and across the river from Claddagh. Look for the swans! They are beautiful. We also saw an otter one night.
