Take the tractor ride up to the homestead with your guide, walk back into history. Our guide was very amusing and informative. A peat fire was burning and smelled wonderful. Our guide also took us outside to show us how to get the peat from...More

We decided to visit the farm on our way back to Dublin and it was such a treat. We didn't know what to expect and it ended up being the favourite part of my trip. Between the video to begin with, the Crannogs and Dan's...More

We visited as a part of our tour group. We boarded a train car pulled by a tractor to the hillside. Dan demonstrated how to harvest peat. We also saw Connemara horses and a old homestead.

Our group of five people enjoyed Dan O'Haras educational center and tour of the house and grounds. It has a lot to offer. I wish the antique bottles, tools, and household items were labelled wth identification text and dates. The staff was very helpful and...More

Wonderful stop to see cutting peat and learning about some history of Ireland. Had a chance to try potion. I believe it is Irish moonshine.
