Would that every city, town, village had such a cultural hub in its community. Wonderful photography exhibition, OffShoot, on currently as well as second exhibition supporting the dementia community with informative books on display. The children’s section is stunning - who wouldn’t like to curl up on a comfy chair, read and watch the boats sail by below in the harbor! Helpful staff. Good adjacent coffee shop. Good display of coming cultural events. Well done on every level. Even planted a catmint sprig to take home to our herb garden.

This is a stunning piece of architecture that I could spend all day in. I visit almost daily. They have, or can order, a vast range of titles and good seating throughout. Works with kids, students and anyone wanting a quiet corner to read in. A good cafe downstairs and attentive service all help.

There was such a 'to-do' with this building when planning was granted that I was intrigued to see if it could possibly be worth it. I have to say it really is. The free children's events, views of the marina, vast amounts of facilities are just amazing. It's spacious, busy, but everything a modern library should be. Ok, it's not the prettiest building in the world, but once inside, put that behind you and make the most of it. My daughter uses it for study, there is always something on for the smaller kids. Lots to do.

The library is big and the building is nice but there are some issues with the space inside. The areas with computers are not study places and therefore the only two space where people can study are often full. Another problem is the noise. The kids space is near the study space and there often are groups so it is noisy which is not normal for a library. Most of the staff is not nice and not helpful at all. It could be better.

Fabulous place but money should have been spent housing families. People would enjoy culture if they had a safe place to call their own

I go regularly with my 8 year old son. Besides having one of the best views in Dublin from the childrens library it is really well stocked with great staff.

This is the most amazing library! Great selection of books and lots of interesting programs and seminars are offered. My kids are always able to find lots of good books here. The views of the Dun Laogharie harbor are so spectacular from this vantage point, too, and the library offers lots of comfortable seating and big windows to take in the lovely views. There is a nice little cafe on the ground floor and lots of quiet study space on the upper levels. I use the print on-demand here quite a bit as we do not have a printer at home. We live nearby so usually walk or take the DART, however, there is a paid parking garage available.

Brilliant library to visit; so spacious and excellent views across the town and sea. Lovely desks and lots of computers here with interesting speakers who come and speak to users on different topics. Lovely café in the same building as well.

Stayed in the lovely Marine Hotel but our sea view was blighted by the Lexicon. What a monstrous piece of modernism, should never have been allowed. We are unlikely to visit the Marine hotel because I cant subject myself to the ugliness of the Lexicon. Sorry

I went there recently with my grand daughter and we were very disappointed with what on the outside is a very impressive building but in reality the library has poor facilities and those that are there are difficult to access and navigate. Looks like a monument to some undefined deity, public body or anonymous individual.
