- Marg SSydney, Australia594 contributionsQuays Temple BarTwo of us enjoyed a fabulous late lunch today at Quays in Temple Bar. A wine for me, a Guinness for my man, cottage pie for me and traditional fish and chips for him, washed down with another glass of Pinot Grigio, absolutely beautiful meal, great service, friendly and helpful staff. A total of €72 including tip was very agreeable for our meals and drinks on a cloudy Friday in Dublin.Dear customer, We're delighted to hear that you and your man enjoyed a fabulous late lunch at Quays in Temple Bar! - Worldtravel1992United Kingdom876 contributionsWish I could have tried most of the menu!We decided to pop in here for a hearty lunch on our last day in the city and i'm very glad we did. I wish I could have tried a number of dishes on the menu but having had a meaty burger the previous evening I selected a mixed bean stew which was delicious! Exceptionally tasty, I would definitely recommend it! For dessert I chose the trio of ice cream but actually ended up getting 4 scoops, all of which were again very tasty. I certainly left here full up, it's a great place for a meal.Dear customer, We're delighted to hear that you had a satisfying and hearty lunch at our place on your last day in the city! Place was jumping, live singer on all night and even though it was mobbed, you were never stood very long at the bar waiting for a drink! - N DLincolnshire, United Kingdom1,477 contributionsGood for a DrinkFriendly staff and fun atmosphere. A two-piece band supplied the music. They didn’t play a single Irish song in over an hour which was a shame. The bar was full of tourists. The music was good though.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 April 2024
- midawg73Bay City, Michigan174 contributionsAuthentic Irish food and barWhen you go to new place and desire to try authentic local cuisine; well this would be the place to try authentiic Irish food. Most of the testurants that we went to had very similar food, burgers, fish and chips, chicken wings which is good and all, but this resturant has coddle, guiness stew, irish stew, shepards pie and many more. I had the coddle and it was everything I expected. It is a combination of irish stewand bangers and mash. It was the best meal I had in Ireland and would 100% go back. Prices seem typical for a resturant in Dublin.Visited August 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 15 August 2024

Sunday January 5th I was at The Quays Pub located at Temple Bar, when I went to pay two two beers totaling € 13.40 the guy who works at the bar put in the € 113.40 card machine. I went to the pub on Monday to talk about it. The Manager said that the transfer would be made to my account. Each day I went there to ask why they didn't give me back the money they gave me a new return date. This has already been 9 days and so far I have not received my money back.

Hi Adriano,
Thank you for your review. I have spoken to our accounts team and have been informed that this was refunded as soon as we were made aware. The refund process does take 5-10 business days as it was done by card. We hope this didn't cause too much inconvenience.

The bar itself is great, all the seating is outside, across the road from the bar. There is ample seating and it’s under cover too. Staff are great and serve really quickly. The only thing that totally put me off were the cocktails. They are strong and not nice strong either, tastes like pure alcohol in a glass. If you want to get sh*tfaced then this is the place for you, otherwise stick to what you know drinks wise. I was gutted because the slush machine was broke as I reckon they would have been better tasting!

Looks great nice atmosphere prices not to bad bit crammed in as a couple small table tight walkway saw some people leave when offered tables as it was too small.
Ordered food arrived 10minutes later and out within 35 minutes felt really rushed. Wife had mussels and chowder which was really nice, I had the Irish stew that was awfull no flavour at all, came with two small slices of brown bread just an insipid soup really.
Drinks were as expected although wife had a soda and lime that cost £6! Guinness was great.
On the whole ok but wouldn’t go back.

Sadly I find myself writing a review I would not normally share. WARNING Ladies I am not sure about the bouncer with the beard's attitude is about!! We had been out for an afternoon drink before going home. We had just enjoyed 2 drinks and left when the music stopped to grab a bite to eat. We had enjoyed the atmosphere and music albeit I must add my daughter ordered a vodka and coke from the eldest man and there was no vodka. When ordering the second drink, we ensured to have it separate and it was okay. We went to go back and the bouncer said you need to go off and grab some food! Being a mature woman I said we have just been and wished to come in. He basically wouldn't let us in. Maybe he was saving us from something but personally we felt attacked for possibly just being British. I am open to the management getting in touch with me and I will be honest with what happened. Strangely enough when we got turned away 2 girls who again were sober came up to ask what happened and the same happened to them. If I can help guide anyone, I would say avoid this location along with the entrance to Teac na Ceibe and give your well earned money to an appreciative establishment.

We were walking down a crowded street and were pulled into this restaurant as we saw others walking in. Amazing food, unbelievable service, great beer and the kindest people. Really cool atmosphere and while I don’t know much about Ireland I felt it was authentic. Also I had the “banger and mash” and it was amazing. Maybe the best food on our trip

Been a few times and such a great atmosphere. Took our 6 year old in a couple of times in the afternoon and he loved the live music. Always busy but we got there about 130 and alwayd managed to get a seat. One of our favourite bars in temple bar for music and a drink. The only negative is the toilets stink

Stop into the Quays Temple Bar for a couple drinks after eating lunch in the Temple Bar area. We initially walked into the side of Quays where the music was playing, but it was standing room only, and very loud. We were going to try somewhere else and were walking through the short hallway to the restaurant side, and noticed they had a full bar over there as well, with several open stools available. So we sat there and had our drinks, and we able to easily hear the music, at a much lower volume. Much more enjoyable! Friendly bartender, and a nice little place.

When visiting Dublin we normally head to The Temple Bar bar for a pint of Guinness, this time is was absolutely rammed (the night before a ‘new’ Bank holiday in Ireland), we kept a looked for somewhere else, The Quays looked appealing so in we went…..what a great find.
We managed to get a cosy seat at the bar to enjoy the excellent live music. The bar staff were fabulous as was the bouncer in dealing with a couple of young ladies who clearly were making the most of the fact they were not working the next day.
Great bar, great Guinness and amazing staff. Well worth a visit.

We emailed the Bar for dinner reservations nine days before we visited Dublin. The restaurant responded saying that they would contact us to make the booking.
We waited a week to request a booking again and were told again that they would contact us.
We never received a response.
They are probably packed every night and don't care. Sad we were looking forward to dining there. Probably would have been great.

Definitely not recommended at all. I’ve never been in a place like this, where we were forced to order the main course and were not free to choose any other “smaller” option available on the menu (and they didn’t even tell us before!). Yet, the worst part was that waiters were incredibly rude (apart from the girls who were nice). Such a shameful treatment deserves an honest review! You guys should really learn the basics of hospitality and customer service…
