Poor service, Sat evening 7pm, bar was not busy. We were not acknowledged while waiting to be served

and then when served gin and tonic, it was presented in a 'couldn't care less fashion'. No lemon/lime, not a gin glass, for the price I would expect a bit more. We both went to bar separately and got the same treatment. Very disappointing start to our evening.

..Ladies toilets filthy, no toilet paper, floors littered so we didn't stay for food.
I don't normally write critical reviews but this was a disappointment 😔

The service was very good however the food was very disappointing. Did not seem to be cooked fresh as the fish was cold and soggy.

Popped in here for a very quick bite before an event in the City Centre. We set and were served immediately even though it was a busy Friday night. The bar staff and table staff were top notch. Both of us opted for a starter with a side of chips as we were in a hurry and the portion sizes were super! We will defo be back and would highly recommend anybody travelling to/from Houston Station to take the short walk across the river to try this place out.

A lovely old fashioned pub with really good food (especially Beef & Guinness pie) in large portions. Staff are very friendly and efficient and in the smaller bar they have great traditional Irish music on Saturday evenings

Staff were fantastic, was a two minute walk from our hotel and was great for a bite and a pint. Food was tasty and they had a nice kids menu too which was perfect after a morning walk in the park. All safety measures in place too which was reassuring.

Nice place, looks authentic. There was an amazing array of spirits in a glass cabinet behind the bar! The staff were friendly but.....
I ordered a steak and Guiness pie and champ which came in one of those ceramic dishes with a very large thin pale puff pastry lid! There was about 4 bits of steak the rest was swede and carrot (the gravy wasn’t salty) There were three tiny scoops of champ!
For €16 it was not value for money
For dessert I had bread and butter pudding and custard, what I got was a small stodgy square on a flat plate that was cold and sitting in a very small thin pool of supposed custard! Not what I would call bread and butter pudding!
Needless to say we won’t be back!
