Well worth a visit to sit and admire the architecture of this fantastic memorial. A very fitting tribute to the fallen. We had the delightful experience of bumping into a lovely Irish gentleman who explained the memorial in lots of detail and made us appreciate...More

On a pleasant weekend morning, watch the rowers whizz by or admire the architecture and nature. These gardens have more locals walking their dogs than tourists. The gardens are relatively small and you would only need 30-60 mins there to see it all. We visited...More

Quiet location a little hard to find at edge of the city. Probably best explored in summer as much of it has only (muddy) grass between areas of interest and flowers would be in bloom. NB no toilets.

Unless you know where you are going it would be very difficult to happen upon this gem. Dedicated to Ireland’s fallen troops it has a lovely setting on the banks of the Liffey which it shares with Trinity College’s boat club. On the Southern part...More

I walked in via sidewalk from the southern midpoint of the park at Memorial Rd and the Chapelizod bypass. Dont miss the sunken gardens for beautiful roses and other blooms even in October. This park is well-maintained, and a peaceful break from the city.
