We had no idea this existed until we happened upon it while hiking the Temple Bar area one Sunday morning. Very interesting!

Go to Dublin...See Molly Malone, of course. She's been moved, temporarily, because of construction, but she's as lovely as ever in her new spot...pushing that wheelbarrow through streets broad and narrow...alive, alive-o!

If you take any area tours in Dublin chances are that your tour company will pick up not far from the statute so take a moment beginning or end to grab a photo then make sure you avail yourself of the song honoring her and its lyrics at a Temple Bar Pub

Not very much about Molly Malone mentioned but the statue is lovely and definitely a great photo opportunity.

So many things to see in Dublin, worth making this one of the things to see. We didn't do a tour, but you can get a tourist map and make your own tour.

I have seen this statue before a few times and I took my wife to see it and they have moved it down the road because of road works, its outside the tourist office bottom of the street

It is a nice statue and a little taste of Irish folklore, but not worth its own trip. However, if you're in the area, definitely stop by for a photograph.

One of the more risqué statues with ginormous mammalian protuberances. Difficult not to look. Great meeting place near city center.

This is suppose to be the most photographed statue in Dublin. I had always thought that the song was just a song but its amazing to learn that Mary Malloy was a real person and in some ways personified the poor people of the time living.

And take a photograph. That's really about it, but it's an iconic statue so while it isn't worth a special trip, do stop by.
