Wonderful and unexpected jewel. The tour was very good and the guide was nice he gave us a lot of information about the history of the castle. Also a cosy garden. I recommend to visit for sure.

The castle is ancient and beautiful! There is a real moat. Alex the guide, was so kind and cultured... he told us a lot of stories about Drimnagh castle! Very interesting. The guided tour is only 4.5 euros. Worth it!

The castle is undergoing restoration so you have to use your imagination more than at other historical sites in Ireland. But the staff are very friendly and accommodating. But if you've just come from Kilkenny or Blarney Castle then be prepared to adjust your expectations.

Hidden behind a pair of schools on, this hidden gem has been used as a location for the Tudors TV series - masquerading as the Tower of London. Guided tour gave great history of the building & the amazing work that went into the restoration.

Yes, we paid after the tour. I think it was about 4.50 euros per person. They do have a website and you can get more detailed info there.

Yes there is free off street parking available. If for any reason you cannot access the parking (if the gate is closed) you can park in the nearby Aldi supermarket carpark.
