This is so historic that it can't be missed. The long room and harp are amazing in their own right but in addition to the Book of Kells and other old manuscripts make this a lifetime experience. Not to be missed.

Most of display is just posters. Very little view of actual or even replica of book. Library is impressive but just one room. Whole thing only takes about half an hour in total.

The library has to be seen. Obviously the inspiration for one of the palace sets in star wars I. The book of Kells is breathtaking and the explanation of it in the exhibition prior to viewing greatly enhances the visit. For me the best cultural site in Dublin.

The cost to enter the library o see the Book of Kells was hard to justify. We walked around the campus, took in some sights, saw some photos in the gift shoppe and decided meh- not worth it.

This was cool to see and the history is amazing but it really is not good for kids or anyone who could do without a museum. The library upstairs is beautiful but this really should be a free attraction as it is small and the only real thing to see is the book itself (the rest of the hall shows... More

Me and my partner came here for an afternoon visit. As you go in there is an informative display which I found interesting. You then go into a room where two pages of the book of kells are displayed with minimal info on the walls. You can then go into the long room library with thousands of old books. A... More

I joined a guide for a short tour of the college before proceedings to the Old Library and the book of Kells. I did queue for about 40 mins but apparently it's better in the late afternoon. The display prior to seeing the Book of Kells is well laid out and full of interesting facts. The books themselves are beautiful... More
