The antiquity of the Book of Kells is profound and while I probably expected more in the exhibition it is a privilege to have had the experience. The library was astounding, something that is rare and not often experineced. The library alone was worth the...More

The Book of Kells exhibit spent a lot of time explaining the many details that went into the artistic designs and physical construction of the books. They were beautiful to view and the entire exhibition was very educational. My group did our own self-guided tour,...More

This place is a nice visit. Doesn't take to long to go through. We enjoyed it very much. It can be busy but not when we went in May.

Well done exhibit explaining this period of Irish history. The book itself is only one small part of the display, but you can see how the book was assembled and some enlarged images that you would never see by looking at the book alone. Worth...More

Not a huge exhibit but viewing the Book of Kells is definitely worth doing. It is worth seeing this glimpse into history.

The tour of Trinity college was very interesting and seeing the Book of Kells was a once in a lifetime site but the manuscript is not nearly as big or as vivid as expected. The wait was not long, though.

For those that love history and the fact that Irish saved the written Bible, this is a must! Easy to book online.

This exhibit is one of the most popular in Dublin, and I looked forward to seeing it. Booking ahead is essential to avoid huge lines. The exhibit itself is informative if you know nothing about medieval manuscripts, but you get to see only a single...More

Is there a coat room where I could leave my bags? I'm taking the tour and then have to head straight to the airport for a 2pm flight. I'm trying to figure out the best option for my bags. Thank you!

I do not remember seeing a cloak room, or lockers anywhere. They also don't have any space to put it somewhere behind the counter. Best to go luggage free.

How crowded should we expect it to be if we book Fast Track tickets for 9:30 (the earliest slot available) on Monday, March 6? Everything I've read suggests that, though it is off-season and likely to be quite cold, it will still be very busy.

We did not book ahead. We were traveling in mid-November. We simply arrived at Trinity College and signed up for a tour of the college that included The Book of Kells. It was crowded, but well-organized. Wait time was... More
What might the queue be like the week of Dec 26-29? There are NO FAST PASSES available from the university the entire week from Christmas Eve to New Years. Any good information out there on the wait during the winter?

Not a busy period at all. Most of the businesses will be closed and a lot of people would live Irelnad for holidays after Christmas. New year is not really big celebration on Ireland. Do not expect any queues. However please... More
