Prior to my trip at Mai Thai Massage, I hadn’t gotten a massage in years. I found myself in need of relaxation and was recommended by a friend to visit Mai Thai for a massage. I was apprehensive at first, as I was nervous that I may feel uncomfortable with somebody touching my body, but my worries were quickly put to rest. I booked with Oprah for a full body massage and felt welcomed and put at ease by her easygoing personality. She ensured that I was comfortable even before my massage and maintained this relaxation throughout my experience. Not only was the massage fabulous, but the atmosphere created by Oprah was so calming. I would absolutely recommend her and will be coming back!

Absolutely brilliant massage from Molly. Medium to strong deep. Loosened oug muscle groups , broke up knots in my shoulders. Read my body and what I was needed like such a pro.

My boyfriend brought me along as a gift for my birthday. And I have to say I wasn't dissapointed. Being my first Thai massage I wasn't quite sure what to expect. We were offered ten euro each of the regular price because we booked as a couple. They also asked us if we wanted share a room we could go to their location in Upper Abbey street which we did. It was especialky nice to share the experience in the same room and at the same time with my partner given the fact that I was a little anxious about what to expect. Upon arrival I was straight away put at ease. We were greeted by two very friendly masseuses and the place was very clean and smelled of lovely camphor. The massage itself was very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you very much, we can't wait to return

I was glad my boyfriend and I could get massages the day before and the prices were very good. However as soon as I walked in I noticed it was sketchy looking. It was off the Quay and secluded up a doorway. They separated us in two different rooms to get our massages. My massage was pretty good (a little rough). In the other room one of the woman offered my boyfriend “favors” after touching him in areas more than wanted. I don’t care if other men are there for those favors, but don’t offer it to men when they’re there with their girlfriend!

Any Thai massage is great, at least for me. To others who have not taken it, it may blow their mind, but as far as I'm concerned I know these are experienced people who know what their doing.
However, there are better options in Dublin. They had two people at the time and four of us were there getting a massage. The lady in our group got weirded out in her massage. I told her the Thai massage may be very different, but it does seem that they were unprofessional in certain aspects. My own was not bad. The lady did the traditional massage.
The thing that got to me was being ten minutes early, ten minutes before my first two friends were done with the massage. We asked to come in, but were refused. To be fair, the lady at the front desk was one of the two people working on the massages. However, they fail to understand that we were stuck out in the cold and didn't have anywhere to go since we just got back to Temple Bar. We were not let in until 20 minutes after, enough to seethe about it and not have a proper good massage. Also, I noticed in the waiting room how unemotional the receptionist was with other callers as if they were all liabilities to her own time.
They did ask if I wanted a happy ending. I refused of course.
Overall, people must be aware that, although they do have good massages for cheap, they do not care much for the customers enough to consider their needs. True most are tourists, but these reviews will get back at them eventually.

This was my first time having Thai massage with authentic Thai staff. It's noticeable difference from my experience. Strong and relaxing. The feeling at the end is: "I should come more often"

Me and my boyfriend came here for an hour massage each. His masseuse was wonderful so he wanted to leave her a 10 euro tip. However, my masseuse named missy gave me what I call an elbow--bare footed massage! Gross! She stepped on my hands and back with her bare feet and elbowed my back the entire time! It was a lazy massage where she wouldn't use her hands! She kept rambling about her Irish husband and her daughter and wasted massage time just talking. She wouldn't even massage while she talked! When we were about to leave we have her 15 euros -- we told her 5 for her and my be wanted to leave 10 for the other woman he liked. We came back an hour later looking for something we lost and thought we might have dropped it there and we were greeted by the nice woman. We asked her if missy gave her the 10 euros and she said she was only given 5!!! How dishonest is that! I would have never left missy a 10 euro tip with the ridiculous massage she gave me!

Really friendly staff, amazing massage. It's an authentic Thai massage, so it can feel a bit strong if you are expecting just an oil rubdown. You won't regret it, though. Best Thai massage I've had in years!

I visited the 2nd branch on 10 Upper Abby st on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty and I asked for a 45 mins Thai massage.
I was escorted to a room where I was asked to strip and lay on a bed - a warning bell started ringing hard in my ears. Traditional Thai massages are done on a mat on the floor in full clothing supplied by the place. I asked about it and the girl said that she got confused and thought I wanted oil massage so it's OK to keep a slim wear and that she'll be back in 2 mins.
In 2 mins time someone else came and said demanded I'd take off my clothes again. I explained her, but with no luck.
So I did and we started with the massage, but Thai massage on a naked skin is not pleasant at time...
The entire treatment seem to be almost OK all the time, but never really professional and relaxing or medical.
Only positive point is the price: 35 euro for 45 mins

I have on numerous times for a massage and the place is getting very let down most of the good therapists have left in all 5 of them in one week if I can recall

If you wish to share the the room as a couple for your Thai massage then you would need to request in advance at our Abbey St location, as we need to prepare the Thai massage room with two 2 massage tables
