This tour was an amazing value. For 7 euro each online we booked a time, and then were guided by Adam, who provided an excellent history on the jail both which housed both common criminals and major political prisoners. We learned so much about the Easter Rising. It was a bit out of the city, 40-50 minute walk/20 min bus... More

A must visit. A very informative tour which gave an insight into the conditions suffered by prisoners confined to this gaol. Tour gave a history of the 1916 rising and of the 14 prisoner involved in it and their outcome.

Eye opening and inteteresting! Wrap up well as its VERY cold in the jail itself. Fabulous guide and good facilitis. Very good value for money. This attraction is very popular and it's recommended to book tickets in advance as spaces on the tour are limited.

Great place to start gathering historic information. All the rest fit right in with this background to build around. Sad but very well done

This place is amazing. Creepy. Old. Full of history (no charm). The information was great. Guide was great. Get tickets on line ahead of time...they are cheaper and the tours are usually sold out at the door.

Great tour and full of insightful information about Ireland's history. The tour guide was excellent and well informed. Very sad in bits but thoroughly enthralling. I would recommend this visit to anyone with an interest in Irish history.

We went to the Gaol. It was very informative and very cool to see. I would recommend going. Buy your tickets on line before you go and then you don't have to be bothered trying to get them
