Historical tour - book in advance. I would recommend this tour. Our tour guide Natalie was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgable. It's well worth taking time before the tour to visit the museum. Excellent coffee shop on site.

Really good place for historical understanding of Ireland's struggle for independence. It was recommended to me as worthy of a visit by a local and I was not disappointed. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide Niamh was so informative and had such a passion for her job. Would highly recommend. Book earlier tour as we didn't have lots of time for the museum.

This solemn building provides visitors with a compelling look at Irish history from the late 18th century through the 1920's. The tour is really well done and breathes life into the events transpiring there with the stories of those unfortunates involved. It is well worth the trip out there.

We had a great tour guide and we learned a lot. We were told on the "hop on / hop off" bus that the tour was full and they can't take people at the door. We learned that this is not true. We were able to get in, but we could only take the "highlight" tour and had to wait... More

We had a great time at the Gaol, although it is a bit out of town it's worth the travel. Our tour guide Dave was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Booked our tickets before we went and lucky we did as the tours were all full when we got there. We arrived about half hour before our tour started so got to look round the museum first. Our tour guide was really informative, and her stories kept your attention the whole way round the tour, even two teenagers! Make sure... More

The gaol itself is so interesting but i was hoping for a little more information. Instead our guide ushered us through really quickly and when we didn't have any questions she told us we were being very well behaved. Her tour was dull and she missed interesting little facts and when we first went into the church it was hard... More
