A magnificent cathedral that houses Jonathan Swift's remains (he wrote Gulliver's Travels). It is the only remaining cathedral in Ireland with a daily sung services. A small entrance fee is charged for tourists and all money raised goes back to paying for the upkeep of the building.

A must see when visiting Dublin! It only takes about an hour to thoroughly look through and admire the cathedral that took years and years to construct. There's so much history and so much beauty in it's construction. If you are nearby, it's more than...More

Go early (such as 10:40) and advise the entry staff you're there for the service. Be early to get a seat in the pews closer to the front. Being an Anglican Church expect lots of standing.

Even though the resident choir was not in session a very good parish choir from London (Pinner Parish Church) sang. The dean officiated. The place was packed. It was brilliant.

I love this one, not in a religious way, cos im not, but its arquitecture and its size with those arches and the history inside. It is a shame you have to pay for it, but it also help to keep it that way.

Had the very unique experience of watching the bell ringers in action within the bell tower. The cathedral itself is super impressive but climbing up into the bell tower to watch our local friend and her colleagues play the bells was an absolute treat!

I visit St. Patrick's Cathedral every time I am in Dublin. The architecture and history are amazing and worth the cost of admission.
