My wife and I took this tour. Between us, we both enjoyed it.. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and answered everyone's question with expertise.

This tour is a 'must do' if you are short of time and haven't booked ahead to get INTO the passage tomb at Newgrange. Highly efficient booking and quick responses to emails. Bus picks up at different places in Dublin between 9.30am and 10.00am, then...More

This was the best tour we had in Ireland, and we are at the end of our trip so that says a lot! Mary led the tour herself and was remarkably knowledge about the history of Ireland. We felt like we were in a classroom...More

Won a trip to Ireland and as part of the package we were given a tour to Newgrange. TBH I'm not a great lover of organised tours, so was only semi looking forward to the day. Then we met Mary.... This wonderful woman was amazing....More

Previous positive reviews tell it all. We were privileged to have Dr. Muiris O’Sullivan, professor emeritus from University College Dublin, as our guide. He not only shared general cultural and historical knowledge in an interesting way, but also gave us an "eyewitness account" of the...More

We enjoyed Mary's Newgrange trip a lot. The guide was well informed, told exciting stories and pointed out interesting facts about Ireland's past as well as the history of the places we visited. Newgrange itself is definately worth the visit. Considering that the tomb/temple is...More

I was able to reserve a space just the day before at one of the Dublin tour offices with a small deposit and then paid the balance on boarding the bus. There is a choice of pick up and drop off spots around Dublin. Our...More

A fabulous Friday was spent with our fantastic guide (whoops, forgot his name!) and groovy driver Francie. Our guide was also accompanied by his young daughter who herself is an inspiring historian. I never before had such an insightful, knowledgable and entertaining guide. He never...More

My wife and I were in Ireland for 10 days and did 6 different tours and while many of them were quite good none of them could hold a candle to what we experienced on this tour. Mary's brother, Félim Gibbons, was our guide for...More

On the drive to the Hill of Tara, Mary gave quite a bit of information about Irish history and archaeology. Upon arrival at Tara, we were given an orientation and then time to explore on our own (about an hour). From there... More

It's a coach bus. You're only broken into smaller groups to go inside the Newgrange structure at the site. (The groups take turns since there's only so many that can fit.)
