We were staying overnight in Donegal Town and it would've been a shame to skip a tour of the castle. You can do a guided or non-guided tour. We did the guided tour which was informational and only took about an hour of your day....More

Having taken several tours i have often heard the expression "ABC" i.e. "Another Bloody Castle" meaning let's skip it. I;m glad we took the time to visit this castle and to read the history that went with it. Loved the upstairs WC! The wood work...More

Beautifully maintained castle, tho' we did not take the tour we wandered around the grounds and loved every bit of it. Our friends did the tour and said it was worth it

It fairly small for a castle however it is nicely furnished and gives you a good idea of how people lived hundreds of years ago.

Took friends from Canada to Donegal Castle. Very informative. Pleasant way to spend some time. Would be nice to see the upper level with access restored.

We missed the tour, and relied on the handout for our visit. It was an informative sheet but I would have liked to heard a guide as well. Very interesting castle.
